Eric Lewis

Eric is a ceramic artist who focuses on making contemporary functional pottery. Art deco forms and motifs guide him to create works that are simple yet sophisticated. Cups, saucers, covered containers and butter dishes are some of the specific forms he uses.
Surface design is instrumental in his work and the fish net pattern with its flashes of color, sense of containment and illusion of surface movement, is one that Eric uses often. Eric has participated in many clay workshops, studied pottery in Daytona Beach, Florida and received his BFA in ceramics from the University of Florida. He has a strong passion and commitment to clay as a material, and loves to share his experience and knowledge with others. When he is not in the ceramic studio, Eric enjoys all things vintage, trains and good cuisine.
